100 Things
{Take the 100 Things challenge!}
1 | confessions & questions: I don't know why I can't ever do something simple? I saw this challenge and resisted, then decided to do it. And if that wasn't enough I decided to overdo. I had a list of seven things that I wanted to do and that tie in nicely with ways I'm challenging myself. But seven was such an odd number, ten seemed much rounder to me - and so this is more like my thousand things challenge. My ambition always outruns my ability to accomplish and I always need to take an idea and explode it. As I've gotten older I've gotten better about learning to say no and to set limits, but there is that deep down part of me that gets a roller-coaster thrill from ideas sparking like the big bang and creating little offshoot universes. What do you do that you know isn't wise/healthy/possible, but that you don't even have the desire to stop trying for?
My several hundred things...

| things that make me smile [smile]
| random things [random]

I suspect you may know me better than you wish after this is through and please don't feel obligated to comment. I will try to post in groups so not to overwhelm you or you can filter out the tags. :) I'd love some prompts for ficlets [and I mean things I can write in less than 500 words].
And if you've made it this far...

My son insisted on buying this plushy - giving up a trip to San Francisco for it.
Then I downloaded the game, which he seems to love. You feed this creature Om Nom candy. When he got a few levels in we were treated to this video. Cutest things ever. Watch to laugh out loud!

My ambition often exceeds my stamina, but not trying = instant failure and many of these tie in with my personal/professional goals. :) I can't help trying to find new ways to push myself to achieve what I really want. Keep on swimming. Keep on swimming.
